WE ARE NOW FULLY LICENSED TO BE OPEN YEAR ROUND

During the winter months, due to the possibility of inclement weather, it is best to book at least one week in advance so that we may prepare your site for your arrival. If you have a reservation between October 16th to approximately May 20th, the water and sewer at your campsite will not be available. The date that we turn on the water in the spring will vary and may be turned on earlier. All amenities such as washrooms, showers and laundry facilities are in operation in the main building for your use during your stay.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING YOUR ELECTRICAL SERVICE

Amperage and Wattage:

Amperage (amps) measures the rate of electrical flow, while wattage (watts) is the power consumed by an appliance. The formula for calculating wattage is: Watts = Volts x Amps.

  • 15-Amp Circuits:

These circuits are typically used for general household use, powering things like lights, small appliances (blenders, toasters, etc.), and electronics. They are usually protected by a 15-amp breaker, which will trip if the current exceeds 15 amps, preventing overheating of the wiring and potential fires. A 15 amp circuit can typically handle up to 1800 watts.

  • 30-Amp Circuits:

These circuits are used for higher-power appliances or equipment. In RVs, 30-amp service is common for powering the entire RV. In homes, they are used for appliances like electric dryers, electric ovens, and some air conditioning units. A 30 amp circuit can handle up to 3600 watts.

  • 50-Amp Circuits:

This is a more robust service, typically found in larger RVs. It can handle multiple high-power appliances, like two air conditioners, a microwave, and a water heater, simultaneously. This provides more flexibility and convenience when using various appliances. A 50 amp service provides a maximum of 12,000 watts.

    Adapters:

While 30-amp to 15-amp adapters exist for RVs, they should be used with caution and only when necessary. Using the adapter allows you to plug your RV into a standard 15-amp outlet, but you need to be mindful of the total power draw of your RV appliances to avoid overloading the circuit.

Here's how to determine the correct amp circuit:

    1. Check the Power Cord Plug:

    • 30-amp plugs: have three pins: one hot, one neutral, and one ground.

    • 50-amp plugs: have four pins: two hot, one neutral, and one ground.

    2. Check the power inlet:

    • Locate the sticker or label near the power inlet (where your RV's power cord plugs in).

    2. Consult the Owner's Manual:

    • The RV's manual should clearly state the required amperage for your specific model.

RV Size:

Ensure you book a site that can accommodate your RV and tow vehicle as not all sites can accommodate all RV sizes. No refund will be given for incorrect bookings by the reservation holder.

EACH CAMPSITE INCLUDES:

  • Potable water hookup

  • Electrical hookup

  • Sewer hookup (Full Service Sites Only)

  • Gravel driveway

  • Picnic table

RATES:

All prices plus applicable GST. Daily rates may vary depending on your dates of arrival.

We have a combination of full-service sites and power/water only sites available. Our campground has a septic tank in place to remove septic waste; therefore, we charge the same price regardless of the type of services available on your site. For non-serviced sites, you may use the Sani-dump located in the campground. We also have a sewer tote available for your use if needed.

Initial reservations during peak season with two days or less, will be limited to Power/Water only sites. You may check on your arrival to see if we are able to place you in a Full-Service site.

Please note that some sites may require longer electrical cords and sewer hoses so that your RV and vehicle will be parked within your campsite. Your vehicle can not encroach on roadways or be parked on the grass.

Parking for one vehicle plus your RV will be allowed per regular campsite and is included in your site fee. Additional charges apply for extra vehicles and trailers. The large pull-through sites are able to accommodate an additional vehicle or trailer with permission from management; additional charges will apply.

Visitor vehicles are no longer allowed within the campground. ALL Visitors must park in visitor parking by the main building. All visitors not registered to stay the night must depart by 9 pm.

30 AMP VS. 50 AMP: Your RV amp service tells you how much current your camper can handle. If you exceed that current, it will trip a breaker. A 30-amp RV can consume up to 30 amps, while a 50-amp model can handle up to 50 amps. In other words, if you plan to use multiple high-power appliances in your RV simultaneously, then a 50 AMP service would be a better fit. Larger RV's with multiple air conditioners, larger refrigerators, washer/dryer combos, and RV’s that are rated for 50 AMP are better suited in a 50 AMP serviced site.

If your RV is rated as a 50 AMP, we will be charging an additional $25 if we need to re-set the breaker due to your RV exceeding the 30 AMP consumption. Please keep this in mind when choosing the electrical service.
